Effective date: September 21, 2026
69South is an adults-only membership community for people aged 18 and over. This Privacy Policy explains the information involved in accounts, profiles, posts, photos, videos, messages, and Basic (Free), Silver, or Gold memberships; who can receive that information; and how to contact us about your privacy.
1. Who is responsible for your information
69South (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is the service responsible for the information described here. Our mailing address is 415 Ireland Avenue, Millville, NJ 08332, United States. Send privacy questions or requests to admin@69south.me.
This policy covers 69south.me and its community services. It does not cover third-party websites you visit through links. Before any future mobile app launches, its actual data collection, permissions, and providers must be reflected in its privacy disclosures.
2. Information you provide
- Account information: your username, email address, password credentials, and details used to register, verify, or manage your account.
- Profile information: your display name, profile or cover image, biography, and other profile fields you complete. Profile information can reveal sensitive personal details; share only what you intend to share.
- Community content: posts, comments, reactions, photographs, videos, stories, group or page activity, friend connections, and related timestamps and audience settings.
- Messages: messages and attachments exchanged through 69South, and sender, recipient, and delivery or conversation information needed to provide messaging.
- Membership information: Basic (Free), Silver, or Gold membership, enrollment and cancellation information, payment status, order details, and records needed for membership support.
- Support and safety information: requests, reports, feedback, and details you provide when asking us to resolve a problem or exercise a privacy right.
Payment card details should be entered only through the payment service provided at checkout. Do not put them in posts, messages, or support emails. Uploaded files can contain location or other metadata from your device; remove information you do not want to share before uploading.
3. Technical information and cookies
Our website and service providers process technical information to deliver pages, maintain sessions, diagnose problems, and protect accounts. This can include IP addresses, browser and device information, requested URLs, access times, error records, and security events such as failed login attempts.
Cookies and similar browser storage support sign-in, sessions, membership access, preferences, and security. A persistent login cookie can keep you signed in when you choose that option. You can remove or block cookies through your browser, but blocking required cookies can prevent sign-in or membership features from working.
Spam and bot protection can process technical information about a request or registration. Third-party content can collect information when it loads or when you interact with it. Information about those providers appears below.
4. Why we use information
We use information to:
- Create and maintain accounts, verify account access, and deliver the features you choose.
- Display profiles and content to their intended audiences, deliver messages, and manage community interactions.
- Administer Basic (Free), Silver, and Gold memberships, process authorized payments where available, and handle billing, cancellation, and support.
- Send verification, password recovery, membership, security, and activity notifications.
- Investigate reports, moderate content, prevent spam and unauthorized access, and enforce community rules.
- Respond to privacy requests, diagnose errors, and maintain the service.
- Keep records needed for legal, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.
We will provide appropriate notice and obtain consent where required before introducing a materially different use. Membership or acceptance of our Terms is not blanket consent to unrelated tracking or optional advertising.
5. No sale of member information; planned advertising and analytics
69South does not sell members’ personal information. We also do not provide private messages or restricted member photographs or videos to advertisers for advertising purposes. Access needed by providers to host, secure, or deliver those features is described separately below.
69South plans to use advertising and analytics to support and understand the service. This policy does not represent that a particular advertising or analytics tool is already active. Before introducing those tools, we will identify the providers, explain what information they receive and why, update the relevant disclosures, and provide any legally required consent or opt-out choices.
Our no-sale commitment applies when selecting and configuring these services. We will assess whether a tracking arrangement constitutes a legally defined sale or advertising “sharing,” even if no money changes hands. We will not treat undisclosed future tracking as covered by your existing membership agreement.
6. Member privacy, audiences, and messages
Member content is intended for its permitted audience. A profile field, group post, photograph, video, or message can have different audience controls. Check the controls for the item before sharing; a setting on one item does not necessarily control your entire account.
Our rules restrict permitted sexually explicit photographs to designated Silver and Gold adult areas of the website. Video upload and viewing require Gold membership. Basic (Free) membership is also 18+, but does not include access to explicit material or videos. Membership never overrides Friends Only, Only Me, blocking, or group privacy. Report content that appears outside its permitted audience to admin@69south.me.
The guest landing page and legal pages are public. Restricted access does not guarantee secrecy: authorized recipients can take screenshots, record media, forward information, or retain copies. Provider processing and lawful disclosures described in this policy remain possible even when content is restricted to members.
Private messages are intended for their participants. They should not be treated as end-to-end encrypted communications. Authorized administrators or providers may need access for maintenance, support, security, moderation, or legal obligations. Such access is for those purposes, not permission to use private conversations in advertising.
Do not share another person’s personal information or intimate material without the necessary permission. To report abuse, use an available report control or email admin@69south.me. You do not need an account to email a report.
6a. Basic photo moderation
69South has installed an integration for Sightengine to help screen Basic members’ supported still-photo uploads for nudity and sexual content. Automatic scanning is currently paused while provider credentials and service allowances are verified. Before it is enabled, we will provide any additional notice or consent required for this processing.
When enabled, the integration sends the image file, which can include embedded metadata, from our server to Sightengine over HTTPS for automated classification. It does not add your account name, email address, password, or session cookies to that request. The provider receives technical information associated with the request. Silver and Gold uploads and video files are not automatically sent to Sightengine by this integration. This is moderation processing, not a sale of member information or advertising use. See Sightengine’s documentation for its service.
We keep file classifications and review records to apply content and membership rules. Unapproved Basic images remain unavailable to other members; authorized administrators can review them. Automated results can be wrong and do not verify age, consent, or publishing rights. Contact admin@69south.me to ask for a moderation decision to be reviewed or to make a privacy request.
7. Service providers and other disclosures
Providers help host, deliver, secure, and administer 69South. Information relevant to the feature you use can be processed by:
- HostGator: website hosting and related infrastructure, including website data and technical records.
- Brevo: the configured email delivery service. Delivery involves recipient details, message content, and delivery information.
- Stripe: the configured payment service for supported membership billing flows, where available. The processor handles payment information, and 69South receives transaction and subscription information needed to administer membership. The payment provider and applicable terms are identified in the checkout process. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
- Google reCAPTCHA: registration bot protection, which can process browser, device, and interaction information under Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Akismet / Automattic: spam protection. When a supported submission is sent for spam checking, submission and related technical information are processed under Automattic’s privacy notice.
Authorized administrators and technical support providers may access information as needed to operate, maintain, or support the website. Other members receive information through the audiences and communications you choose. When an external sign-in or media provider is offered and you use it, that provider also handles information under its own privacy terms.
We may disclose information when necessary to comply with a valid legal obligation, protect people or the service, investigate abuse or fraud, or establish or defend legal claims. If ownership of the service changes, account information will not be treated as a separate product for sale; any necessary transfer to a successor operator must preserve applicable privacy commitments and legal rights, with appropriate notice of material changes.
8. Emails and notification choices
Service emails include verification, password recovery, membership, security, and support messages. Community notifications and email digests depend on your preferences and the features you use. Use available account settings or unsubscribe links to manage optional messages, or contact us for help.
Necessary account and service communications may still be sent while you maintain an account. Optional marketing, if offered, will have the choices and consent required by applicable law.
9. Retention, cancellation, and deletion
We retain information according to why it is needed. Account and community information support your account; membership and transaction records support billing, accounting, and disputes; and security and moderation records support abuse prevention and investigations.
Retention depends on the purpose, legal requirements, unresolved requests or disputes, the sensitivity of the information, and whether deletion or de-identification is practical. There is not one fixed retention period for every type of information.
To request deletion, email admin@69south.me from your account email address. We may verify your request before changing or deleting an account. We will explain information that must be retained and any applicable exceptions.
Deletion from the active service may not immediately remove backup copies. Other members may retain conversation history, permitted reposts, or copies outside our control. We cannot guarantee removal of information already copied or published independently by others.
Canceling a paid membership stops renewals and leaves access in place through the current membership period; it does not by itself delete your community account. If you also want account deletion, say so in your request and identify any active subscription so billing can be addressed. Membership fees are nonrefundable except where required by law, as explained in our Terms of Service.
10. Your privacy choices and requests
Use available profile, content, audience, and notification controls to manage your information. You can also request access to, a copy of, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you.
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or an opt-out of specified uses, and a right to appeal a decision or complain to a privacy authority. We will handle requests under applicable law and explain lawful limits.
Email admin@69south.me with enough information to locate your account and understand the request. Do not include your password or payment card details. We may request proportionate verification or evidence of a representative’s authority. We will not penalize you for exercising a protected privacy right, although deleting information essential to a feature can make that feature unavailable.
11. Security, international processing, and age eligibility
Safeguards include HTTPS connections and account, membership, and access controls. They reduce risk but do not guarantee that unauthorized access or disclosure can never occur. Use a strong, unique password and avoid sharing credentials.
Providers may process information in countries other than your own, whose privacy laws can differ. Transfers are subject to applicable legal requirements. Contact us for information about arrangements relevant to your data.
69South Basic (Free), Silver, and Gold are both strictly 18+. We do not knowingly permit people under 18 to register. If you believe a minor has provided information or obtained an account, contact admin@69south.me so we can investigate, restrict access, and address the information as required by law.
If an identity or age-verification provider is introduced, we will explain the information requested, who receives it, its purpose, retention, and available choices before collection. This policy does not assert that document or biometric verification is already installed. Do not send identity documents through ordinary support email unless a suitable secure process is specifically provided.
12. Changes and contact
We will publish updates on this page with a new effective date. We will provide appropriate notice of material changes and obtain consent where required before applying a new use of information.
